Tshwaraganang Hydroponics is on a quest to establish itself as the Northern Cape Province’s foremost greenhouse producer by continuously harnessing our production base and consistently improving on our Global G.A.P accreditation. Our small historic mining town of Windsorton which came into existence in the year 1800 is home to our striving entity, located on the R374 route, 60 kilometres east-westerly of Kimberley which is the Northern Cape’s capitol city and largest habitat.

Tshwaraganang is a Setswana word that denotes our collective resolve “to unite,” in our endeavour of contributing towards food security and ensuring the wellbeing of our employees and beneficiaries.

We have developed into a market leader, emerging from a town restricted to seasonal agricultural employment opportunities. Whilst focusing on creating increased market access. Freshmark which is the fresh produce arm of one of South Africa’s leading supermarket retailers in Shoprite-Checkers, is the foremost buyer of our produce. This thus mirrors the quality of our evergreen produce such as cucumbers and tomatoes which we are able to unendingly supply the market with.

Tshwaraganang Hydroponics was established on the 13th of September in 1999 and bears a proud history which we owe to the brave efforts undertaken by many of our beneficiaries in lobbying the provincial government to financially aid the venture. 2006 yielded the construction 15 multi-span bay covering 3600 square meters (sum). And now, our efforts are firmly set on expanding our production base to 14 000 sum fully heated by solar energy in the winter season and diversifying our agricultural activities and crops.  Doubling our market share and continuing to independently manage our business is testimony to our determination.

We are well trained – having been shown the robes by South Africa’s leading Agronomist, horticulturalist, Greenhouse management experts and other professionals in the industry, we can proudly assert that we boasts the relevant expertise and experience. Hence we are confident that we would be able to produce a variety of other produce that we have been able to conduct research into soonest.
